The Journey Begins

I have been interested in genealogy since I was a little girl.  My mother's off-hand remarks about our family being related to pilgrims and presidents sparked my curiosity.  My mother wasn't interested in joining hereditary societies, that was my grandmother's thing.  She had no documentation of our family roots, just the stories she remembered.

My goal is to better organize and document the information I do have and to visit the sites in Essex County that have played in role in my family history.
